Let's Fuck With Rejection
So many people quit their businesses for the wrong reason—they take it personally.
It’s so easy when we launch our business for the first time to be rejected.
The problem is no one teaches you what this rejection means or how to handle it.
Or maybe you’re not new to the game of being an entrepreneur at all, but you recently offered a product (or several) you were over the moon excited about…. only to hear crickets from what has been a receptive audience.
Belly flop.
Face plant.
Fucking-nada.
Ugh—fist to the stomach.
What do we do with this?
If you’re a new entrepreneur who finally had the courage to throw your passion and dreams and heart at the world and no one signs up this could easily be enough to make you quit.
To throw everything back in the trunk of your dreams and drive away. To feel foolish and regret the beautiful courage you just brought forward in standing in front of eyes you didn’t know and saying, “This! I give a damn about this!”
You could drive away assuming that no one wants what you have.
To feel rejected by your audience and the world.
To feel abandoned by the universe (oh yes) for not having your back.
You risked and you weren’t caught.
It is so easy to be thrown out of our wholeness and what we know our unique gifts are by rejection AND so important to remember that rejection doesn’t mean that our gifts aren’t of value.
There’s a lot of math in business that isn’t personal.
So I am here to remind you…
You are not a one hit wonder.
You are not obsolete.
You should not quit it all and get a job.
Being rejected once and deciding to get a job is like going on one date from a dude on Tinder named Alfred and deciding that love is hopeless (it isn’t by the way just choose an app that has more than 50 characters to be more accurate).
Did you know that sometimes women follow me for 8 years before working with me?
EIGHT YEARS.
Business is about putting marbles in the jar and building trust with people.
Business is not a one night stand or a love affair… it’s a fucking marriage.
It takes time for people to know who you are, what you do and trust that you are a good investment for them.
If you’ve faced rejection and quit or are currently wondering if you should get a job for your uncle because you might be obsolete—don’t.
Join me on Thursday, Sep 14th at 5:30 PM PST for a free webinar called “Let’s fuck with rejection” where I teach you how to understand what rejection actually means and how to walk through the fire of it.

“Working with Janne made me feel at home in me, maybe for the first time ever…in my mid-30's. THAT is what Janne holds space for - holding our hands and walking by our sides as we come back home to our insane, beautiful, renaissance-ass selves. and then she pushes us out of the nest to go fucking chase that wonderful thing inside us that makes us tick.” - Andrea

Who am I?
Â
My names Janne Robinson. I’m basically the queen of rejection. My first book of poetry is titled, “This is for the women who don’t give a fuck” and my second book is hot pink and titled “There’s cobwebs on her Vagina”.
I’ve been rejected a thousand times over and it’s also what sets me apart—I am not afraid to own 100% of who I am over and over and be rejected because I know bringing my words, gifts, and art exactly in the way I vision to the world is so incredibly needed. Just like your gifts. Just like you. You giving you to the world in the way you want is a superpower.
My business has generated $300-$500k for the last 5 years as a poet and coach. I’m a spicy, honest success. I get out of bed in the morning to make art and to help people to name their purpose, and build a business and a life of meaning.
I help entrepreneurs amplify their already impact, or transition purposefully into a business and life they want to live. I’ve done over 150 purpose sessions with CEO’s and founders and have helped over a 100+ entrepreneurs leave a job they hate and build a business that gives them energy and makes them come alive.
